Lately, I've been helping out over at Emps-Scape with their website. I recently helped Tonto/Nour (Web developer) work on the highscores by programming an effective method of caching users. Caching users effectively takes a lot of stress off of the server because instead of grabbing data from the database for every page load, the server will cache certain data and only update the cached data every hour.

This became a huge success for me because it is one of the first web applications I have built to take on large amounts of traffic and it has worked effectively throughout the last couple days that it has been running. Be sure to peek over at the Emps-Scape highscores located here.
