I recently sold rs-server.com to Comlaude Ltd. for approximately $1,000. It is assumed that the domain was initially then given to Jagex Ltd., makers of RuneScape, since the WHOIS information for runescape.com matches the WHOIS information for rs-server.com. This has a significant impact on the way in which private servers perceive Jagex, and people within the private server community are coming to a realization that with the power of private servers, there is a huge money potential for servers to get "bought out" if they become large enough for Jagex's interest. There is a lot of controversy for Jagex's swift move to buy private servers from their owners rather than attempting to sue them directly for copyright violations.
